Deepa mehta’s new movie ‘heaven on earth’ which is starring preity zinta and a newcomer star vansh bhardwaj has been released in canada and is getting really good response there. preity zinta has won the best actress award at chicago film festival because of this film.

this movie has produced under the banner of BR films. this movie is supposed to be released in india in march but not with the same title. the title is going to be changed into ‘videsh’ for indian territory.

Says Sanjay Bhutani, CEO of BR Films, “We did not want our Indian audiences to misinterpret the title Heaven on Earth and consider it to be an English film. Hence we changed the film’s name to Videsh as this would connect well with the Indian audiences.”

this movie is going to be released in india in two languages hindi and punjabi.

RECENTLY preity zinta got best actress award for her movie heaven to earth in which she played a roll of a abused wife. she felt so much humiliated when her co -star vansh bhardwaj slapped her for real.

She says, “When we were shooting the film, there was a scene where my co-star had to slap me and, of course, it was a mistake as he took one step forward and actually went smack across my face.”

It was the most humiliating experience of my life because everyone saw me getting slapped.”

well we hope it never happen with her again.

Recently preity zinta got declared the best actress in chicago. the great news is that she won silver vugo award for the best actress in chicago international film festival. she got that award for her performance in deepa mehta’s  ‘Heaven On Earth’

“It was my director Deepa Mehta who informed me that I had won. I couldn’t go to Chicago, and neither could Deepa. Without any lobbying I’ve done it. I am so happy and excited.”

it is said that the judges chose her winner for her realy nice performance of a women who is strugling for her dreams despite of knowing the cruel and brutal realities of life.
